Longitudinal Shear Rubber Sleeve, also known as slitter rubber sleeve, is a critical consumable accessory installed on the shaft of Coil Slitting Line, which plays an irreplaceable role in metal coil longitudinal slitting processing. When operating a Coil Slitting Line, the Longitudinal Shear Rubber Sleeve is fitted between the slitting knife blade and the metal strip, to buffer pressure, protect the cutting edge of Slitting Knife Blade, prevent metal scratching, and ensure the strip runs smoothly without deviation during high-speed slitting.

Wide Compatibility & Working Principle

This accessory is widely compatible with multiple metal processing equipment. It can match the working system of Cut To Length Line, straightening machine and Coil Cutting Machine. In the whole metal coil processing workflow, the Straightening Machine first flattens the curled raw coil to eliminate internal stress, then the Coil Slitting Line carries out longitudinal splitting of the wide coil into narrow strips with the assistance of Longitudinal Shear Rubber Sleeve and Slitting Knife Blade. After slitting, the material can be further processed by Cut To Length Line and Coil Cutting Machine to obtain finished sheets with fixed length. Without qualified Longitudinal Shear Rubber Sleeve, the Slitting Knife Blade will directly contact the metal surface, resulting in knife wear, strip surface scratches, burrs and uneven slitting width, greatly reducing the yield of finished products.
